Bald Rock + Brews
I knew when Katie sent me an email on New Year’s Eve while I was in New Orleans, LA, that she and Randy would be one of my “ideal clients.” She had an artsy heart, lots of ideas, and they were both over-the-moon in love and excited for the future. Shortly after our engagement shoot, Katie texted me to ask if I ever wanted to have a girl’s night. THOSE are the best kinds of moments. I love it and prefer it that all of my “clients” turn into lifelong friends.
Katie definitely wanted to hit the local popular spot, Bald Rock near Greenville, SC, but then she also really wanted to incorporate a brewery of some kind, since they both love local pours! We settled on 13 Stripes when we were put up against time and the potential call for weather. I think we blew it out of the water. What do you think?
Katie left some kind words that I wanted to share with you readers and to any potential brides that may be wondering what an engagement session with me is like. Read it for yourself!
“Find yourself a photographer that feels like a friend. That’s the best way I can describe my time with Jordan planning our engagement shoot. From rain delays to overwhelming location options to last minute outfit stressing, she was there through it all. The day of the shoot I was concerned about my fiancé because... he’s a guy. Guys don’t like photo shoots. Through Jordan’s magical games and direction, Randy became so comfortable and, in the end, the shoot felt more like an exciting date than a daunting engagement shoot. And the pictures?! Icing on the cake.”
Katie failed to mention that her fiancé, Randy, was dancing - voluntarily - on and off camera. I’d say he had a pretty good time. For proof though, I’ll include some dancing “blooper” photos.
Pretty picture perfect, right? I can’t wait for their wedding in October in Hendersonville, North Carolina later this fall!
