You've Got A Pizza My Heart
I know the title seems silly but not for these two love birds. Alley + Austin actually met working at a local tasty pizzeria, Louie's On The Lake, in 2011 and its been nothing short of a sweet glow ever since. As a photographer, you know it's going to be a dreamy session when the bride-to-be insists on "dreamy, golden light." Yes, girl. Just yes. You understand me!
Alley really wanted golden light and for their engagement photos to be different and unique. I love it when brides-to-be have a full Pinterest board of ideas and direction for me to go after, but they still trust my creative flow! Oh, and you know it's going to be a sweet session when the bride-to-be texts you a few hours before saying, "My Nana didn't like that the florist wanted to charge me oodles of money for a bouquet, so she whipped me up something from her garden." Look at those florals!
Not to mention, Alley's family has owned this little slice of paradise tucked away in Dillard, GA, for some time and it was gorgeous. It was sentimental to them and I absolutely loved shooting there!
Now, back to Alley + Austin's love story. When Alley + Austin would work a shift together at the pizzeria, Alley would make him a pizza to share on their break, and that's basically where it all started. I guess through a man's stomach actually is the way to his heart! ;)
The sun began to set behind the mountains' ridge line but it didn't stop us from playing with this weeping willow tree!
And last, but certainly not least, there was no way I could let them leave without playing with some night photography. I turned the high beams on my Jeep (Rosita - yes, that's her name) and we loved the results! Can you say dreamy?! Hello, Nicholas Sparks. You'll want to turn up your screen brightness for these!
Austin is an alumni of UGA and engineer. Alley is currently finishing her B.S. in Nursing at Piedmont College. I have the honor of photographing Alley + Austin's wedding next October at The beautiful Sanctuary Estate in Cleveland, GA, and we're praying for all of the gorgeous leaves and fall colors we had during their engagement shoot!
